I love these cards. However, there is one thing about one of the decks that messes with what I bought them for.

I wanted 3 near identical decks with different backs (for games like River-Pool Rummy and other games that combine decks). The Gold and Red decks work fairly well, only slightly different. However the Blue Dragon deck has blue hearts and diamonds, rather than red like the other decks.

   Bicycle brand cards Full Review 2014

  
  Bicycle brand cards have been around for longer then I've been alive (since 1867) and they've rightfully earned the reputation for being the best quality. If you play cards regularly or need them for standard magic tricks these are perfect. No need to look further. All the good things you hear and read about them are true.
  
  Having said that, keep in mind these are the traditional "808" poker cards, perfect for most users/players. But anyone shopping for playing cards should know Bicycle cards come in many varieties such as for use in pinochle, and Lo Vision cards for the visually impaired, or Jumbo Index sizes with larger type (often used for playing Bridge). They also make a "PokerPeek" design on their Pro series decks that simplifies looking at hole cards, and narrower bridge decks, and thicker Masters Edition cards designed to last longer. This is important to note if you are specifically looking for the thick material. These 808's are not the thicker ones, they are the traditional ones but for 99% of the poker playing and magic making world they are more than sufficient. They are much better than those cheapie no-name cards you might get at a variety warehouse or 99 cent store. Beware if you buy those, they might not be coated and they may last for no more than one long game before they start to bend and fray.
  
  Bicycle also comes with different back designs (including the traditional rider back and older Vintage backs), and Big Bicycle cards that are four times the normal card size. All are traditionally available with red and blue backs, but other back colors (including black, silver, and even pastel colors) are also available. There is even a "Ghost" deck that is entirely black and white except for red hearts and diamonds on the corners of appropriate cards. Consumer paper versions of the plastic KEM type WSOP decks are sold under the Bicycle brand. And in 2010, Bicycle Playing Cards released special anniversary decks which include a redesigned rear side, redesigned Ace of Spades, and 1885-2010 written under the numbers on the corner on each card.
  
  I have to say though, at $24.39 these 808's seem a little pricey, and I'm stunned to see the "retail price" for 12 decks is $37.99! But if you get these cards here at Amazon for $24.39 with free shipping then it's worth the price if you can't get them cheaper at a store closer to you (where you don't have to pay to have them shipped).
  
  UPDATE: As of 2/9/12 these cards are now selling here for $18.99 to $20.00 (depending on the seller) and free shipping if you have Amazon Prime (worth getting, ask me how you can get it for free). NOW IS THE TIME TO STOCK UP AND BUY if you're into poker and can't get them cheaper in a store close to you. This is the cheapest I've seen over the internet. They also make inexpensive barter/gifts to make friends for WTSHTF.
  
  As an aside, many people don't know Bicycle cards are produced and distributed by The United States Playing Card Company (currently out of Erlanger, Kentucky), who also makes Bee (traditionally used by casinos), Tally-Ho, Hoyle, Kem, Aviators (no longer available I believe) and others. That does NOT mean these are all the same quality. They might all be the same quality, but I do not know because I have not used them all recently. I just mention it for a point of interest.

Seems like every couple of months I try to buy a new deck of plastic cards. Its turned into a bit of a collection thing for me I guess. Everyone is familiar with regular Bicycle playing cards, so I was really curious to see how these plastic ones would be.

Played a poker game last night with them and I am thoroughly pleased. I like the individual cases they come in. Most plastic cards come with one plastic case that divides the two decks, I rather enjoy the mix up. The colors are rich, the pattern on the back of the cards is really nice. And the quality of the card is nice, worked really well for our poker game.

Only thing that remains for me is to see how they hold up over time. Like I said I have only used them once so we will see. But for now, 5 stars.  

 

'These cards are ridiculously amazing. They are everything I could have wanted. Each color (in this case, red & blue) come with their own durable black case with its' coordinating color on the front. This makes them very easy to store and keep clean. The quality of these cards is incomparable. They don't bend in the wrong ways or fade out. I use them on a regular basis and they have been fantastic.
One small, very small, suggestion would be to put a latch or something else to keep the cases closed. It hasn't happened to me yet, but I worry about them spilling or coming loose.'

Bee Jumbo Index Playing Cards Honest Reviews 2014 :

 

1-These cards are the best, and this is the best price. Obviously the guy who said they are too expensive and to buy cheaper Bicycle brand doesn't play with cards very much. One deck of the Bee cards last longer than 4 decks of the Bicycle. This is the reason the Mirage Hotel and most of the other vegas casinos use them.

These cards are just fabulous! I originally acquired mine through the Kickstarter campaign, but now here to order more!

I don't see myself playing any games of cards with them (although they are perfectly suited for that), but instead using them initially as an educational tool for myself, then for other people who may not know much about permaculture. They have great, detailed, and provocative information that makes people want MORE information!

And... gosh... I wonder where I could find more information pertaining to these provocative subjects placed on playing cards by a person and his website loaded with oodles of such information!?

• I was very excited when i bought these cards, however i was disappointed upon opening the box. The cards are made out of a slightly thicker stock which normally would be great, but the entire deck was not cut properly. The cards had very rough edges and some had extra paper along what should be a perfectly smooth deck edge. This is not hugely noticeable, but as a magician for 9 years, it is proving to make lifts and other handlings more difficult.
  
  i was also a bit disappointed at the resolution of the images on the back. i really expected a crystal clear guardian backing to these cards, but it is a disappointing quality since the artwork from which it came was much better quality.
  
  not bad cards, but i had higher expectations.
  
  cards arrived extremely quickly which i was very pleased about.
